TL;DR

What did Yvonne Cheng (Bored Biddy) use Claude for?

A vintage reseller on eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Depop, Mercari and Vinted keeps a Claude project for listing drafts and built small tools for receipts, sales exports and photo batches. Customer service, condition checks and pricing calls stay with them. They say Claude brought up cubic pricing, which they used to bring shipping costs down. Listing is far less tedious than starting from a blank page.

What they did

They have a Claude project just for listings: they give it the product name, era, condition, hallmarks and dimensions, then edit the draft and tailor it to each platform. They built a tool that pulls cost, date and item count from invoices and receipts into their P&L tracker, and a dashboard that reads each platform's sales exports (a CSV from eBay, a PDF from Poshmark) and works out gross sales, fees, net, COGS and margin. A batch tool edits product photos to each platform's requirements. They also use Claude to research unfamiliar categories, check comparable prices and think through bigger decisions.

How it went

They say Claude brought up cubic pricing, which they used to bring shipping costs down. Listing is far less tedious than starting from a blank page.

Worth knowing

  • They write every buyer message themselves, because buyers can tell an expert from a bot and response time affects platform rankings. Condition calls, sourcing, staging photos and pricing above comps stay with them; AI can give comps but can't judge rarity or a trend.
  • Price check: Claude: free plan; Pro: US$20/month, or US$17/month on a yearly plan (US$200/year) (checked Nov 1, 2026).
