THEIR CLAIM

Call analysis without a subscription

TL;DR

What did @revenumaxxing use iPhone Voice Memos for?

Instead of a paid call-recording tool, a salesperson records sales calls with iPhone Voice Memos, uses the built-in transcribe button, and pastes the text into Claude with a checklist prompt that grades talk time, objections, hedging language and missed questions. They get what they call a full call breakdown similar to paid call-analysis tools, with no subscription or integration.

What they did

They record the call in Voice Memos, tap the three dots on the recording, hit Transcribe, copy the text and paste it into Claude with one long prompt. The prompt asks for talk-time ratio, number of turns, longest monologue, buying-signal questions, hedging words like 'I think' or 'just wanted to,' filler words, silences, objections and responses, discovery gaps, and 3 things to fix next time.

How it went

They get what they call a full call breakdown similar to paid call-analysis tools, with no subscription or integration.

"no subscription, no integration, just your phone and a transcript."

Worth knowing

  • Always tell the other person you're recording and follow your local consent laws. Phone transcripts don't reliably label who is speaking, so talk-time numbers are estimates.
  • Price check: Claude: free plan; Pro: US$20/month, or US$17/month on a yearly plan (US$200/year) (checked Nov 1, 2026).

Here is a transcript of my sales call: [paste]. Estimate my talk-time vs. the prospect's, list the buying signals they gave, count my filler and hedging words ('um,' 'I think,' 'just'), list each objection and how I answered it, and point out questions I should have asked but didn't. Finish with 3 specific things to fix on my next call.
