TL;DR
What did u/Bit_Blitter use ChatGPT for?
Unable to find a cancel button for an unused Creative Cloud plan, a subscriber had ChatGPT open Adobe's support chat and negotiate; after it calmly repeated the same clear requests, Adobe waived an early termination fee of AUD 394.99 including tax. Adobe first quoted an early termination fee of AUD 359.08 before tax (AUD 394.99 including tax), then waived it as a one-time exception and completed the cancellation, with access lasting to the next billing date and no further charges. Everything except the final thank-you was written by ChatGPT.
What they did
They hadn't used Creative Cloud for months and couldn't find a cancel button, so they asked ChatGPT how to cancel. It couldn't find one either and offered to start a support chat. Its messages (shown as sent 'via Codex') asked Adobe to confirm the earliest cancellation date, any fees and when access would end before processing anything, turned down retention offers, asked for the fee to be waived as a goodwill exception, and asked for a cost comparison with letting the plan run out.

Worth knowing
- They admit it was basically asking nicely to have the fee waived; a commenter notes ChatGPT found no loophole, it just stayed reasonable and persistent. Waivers aren't guaranteed, and you should read every message before an AI agent sends it on your account.

Help me cancel my [service] subscription through its support chat. Draft my messages: ask them to confirm the earliest cancellation date, any fees and when access ends before processing anything; politely decline retention offers; ask for any early termination fee to be waived as a goodwill exception; and ask for a confirmation number and email. Keep each message short and firm.
