TL;DR

What did David Yu (Futureman Labs) use Claude Code for?

A solo SaaS founder set up a scheduled Claude Routine that reads their Search Console data through the Ahrefs connector, writes and fact-checks a blog post, and pushes it to GitHub so Vercel rebuilds the site, with no one reviewing it first. One new post a day, which they say brought 20K impressions and 248 clicks in three months with no input from them.

What they did

They connected Ahrefs to Claude as a bridge to their Google Search Console data, since there was no official Search Console connector. Ahrefs doesn't need a paid account for this. They gave the routine access to the GitHub repo that holds their site. With one prompt in Claude Code, they created a daily scheduled task: review the SEO data, pick a topic, write a post, have an agent check facts, grammar and AI-sounding phrasing, then publish. Pushing to GitHub triggers a new Vercel build.

How it went

One new post a day, which they say brought 20K impressions and 248 clicks in three months with no input from them.

Worth knowing

  • It only works this way if the site is code in a repo. On WordPress or Webflow you have to solve publishing yourself, because routines only use official connectors. They don't read every post, and they rely on fact-checks against public web sources because they lack domain knowledge. They suggest writing brand guidelines first, running it monthly and reading the output before going daily.
  • Price check: Claude: free plan; Pro: US$20/month, or US$17/month on a yearly plan (US$200/year) (checked Nov 1, 2026); Ahrefs: free plan; Starter: US$29/month (checked Oct 26, 2026).

Look at my site's search data for the last 28 days: [paste queries with impressions, clicks and position]. Pick one topic where I get impressions but few clicks and don't yet have a dedicated post. Write an outline for that post, list every factual claim it would make, and add a source I can check for each one. Don't write the full post yet.
