TL;DR
What did eLearnify360 use Synthesia for?
Instead of filming themselves or hiring a presenter, an eLearning developer builds a course welcome video in Synthesia from a realistic avatar template, brands it, and inserts the MP4 into their Storyline course. The finished intro welcomes learners and explains the course, and they say the avatar doesn't look obviously AI-generated.
What they did
They pick a template whose avatar looks realistic, previewing the template's sample before generating so they don't waste credits. They paste an AI-written script into each scene, change colors and fonts to match the course branding, add on-screen text to back up what the avatar says, switch to a close-up shot for one scene, and use a stock clip from Canva for another. Then they generate the video, download it as MP4 and insert it on the course's intro slide in Storyline.
How it went
The finished intro welcomes learners and explains the course, and they say the avatar doesn't look obviously AI-generated.
Worth knowing
- Generating uses credits, and some templates look clearly artificial. They tried HeyGen and didn't like the results at the time. In the Reddit thread they say it takes a lot of experimenting and tweaking to find good avatars and templates, and another course maker said they sometimes regenerate several times to get the avatar's expressions and gestures right.

Try it yourself

Write a 60 to 90 second welcome script for an AI presenter introducing my online course on [topic] for [audience]. Split it into four short scenes: a warm welcome, the three questions the course answers, what learners will be able to do by the end, and a one-line send-off. For each scene, also suggest a short on-screen headline that backs up what the presenter says.
