TL;DR

What did Patrick Ramdial use Runway for?

A video production owner uses Runway to remove objects and make extra shots, ElevenLabs for voiceovers, and Adobe tools for audio cleanup and sound effects on paid client work. He shows the AI shots cut into finished client videos in Premiere, often using only a second or so of each generated clip.

What they did

On client projects he prompted Runway to remove a lavalier mic from a shirt, remove two people from a Six Flags drone shot, replace a baseball field with grass and trees for a reveal shot, turn a nighttime drone image into daytime, and make POV drone-style clips from a single image of a fashion runway event he filmed in Las Vegas. He cloned a client owner's voice in ElevenLabs from 5 to 10 seconds of recorded audio and pasted in the script for the full voiceover. He runs dialogue through Adobe Podcast's enhance tool and makes sound effects with Firefly's text-to-sound feature.

How it went

He shows the AI shots cut into finished client videos in Premiere, often using only a second or so of each generated clip.

Worth knowing

  • Generated drone clips often aren't usable in full, so he uses split seconds. Firefly sound effects aren't exact, so he stacks several, and he notes the background Runway fills in may not match what's really there. He adds "Don't change anything else" to prompts so the shot's movement stays the same. He says no tool sponsored the video and he pays for all of them.
