TL;DR
What did u/Suitablesouls9364 use Perplexity Computer for?
Someone connected Apple Health to Perplexity Computer and set two scheduled tasks: a short morning read of last night's sleep and heart data, and a Sunday plan with workouts, recipes and a grocery list based on their recent health numbers. They say it has run for a couple of months and is one of the few automations they haven't had to babysit.
What they did
Perplexity Computer reads Apple Health through its Personal Health connector, so sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and workouts are available once the watch syncs. They run two scheduled tasks. Each morning a short one reads yesterday's numbers, says how they slept and nudges them toward the day's plan. On Sunday a longer one plans the week: a workout split, recipes and a grocery list based on recent health data. For the first month they ordered groceries from the list themselves. Later they had it build the cart on the store's site through the Comet browser on a Mac mini.
How it went
They say it has run for a couple of months and is one of the few automations they haven't had to babysit.
Worth knowing
- The cart-building step is slow and sometimes picks the wrong size or a pricier brand, so they check the cart before paying. They say it took about a month to adjust. The write-up was partly summarized with AI.
- Price check: Perplexity: free plan; Pro: US$20/month, or US$17/month on a yearly plan (US$200/year) (checked Oct 31, 2026).

Every Sunday, look at my last 7 days of sleep, resting heart rate and workouts. Plan next week: [number] workouts that fit how recovered I am, 5 dinners that suit [my goal and diet], and one grocery list grouped by store section. Keep it to one page and flag any day I should take it easy.
