TL;DR
What did u/Hacebeanbreakfast use ChatGPT for?
A commercial tire and truck service business built a phone-friendly tire and parts lookup with ChatGPT Sites in an afternoon. Staff can click through or search for tire and part details on their phones instead of scrolling the spreadsheet.
What they did
Techs used to scroll a 20-page Excel file for a tire price or part number, sometimes at 2 a.m. on the side of a highway. The owner built a searchable tool in ChatGPT Sites that staff open on their phones. Service writers use it to sell tires, and it prompts them to move the oldest inventory first.
How it went
Staff can click through or search for tire and part details on their phones instead of scrolling the spreadsheet.
Worth knowing
- It is an internal tool, and a commenter noted that many new AI-built apps look almost the same.
- Price check: ChatGPT: free plan; Go: US$8/month (checked Nov 1, 2026).

Here is my parts and price list as a spreadsheet: [paste or upload]. Turn it into a simple, phone-friendly lookup page where staff can search by part number or size, and show the oldest stock first for each item.
