TL;DR
What did @stephendepino use Grok Bot for?
A customer sent Grok Bot their phone and internet bills and asked how to pay less for the same features. It found the same internet plan offered for less and a phone add-on they didn't use, then handled the provider's support chat while they watched. After about 30 minutes of chat, the bill went down. They also sent their auto and home insurance, and it flagged that their contents coverage was about twice the national average, which they planned to raise with their agent.
What they did
They sent their PDF bills and asked Grok Bot to find ways to lower the total while keeping the same features. It found no better deal from competitors, but found the provider offered the same internet plan for less than they were paying after two years of increases, plus a phone feature they didn't use. They typed their account login themselves, and Grok Bot ran the customer service chat while they watched. They told it to get the new monthly total confirmed before agreeing to any change. It also set a reminder for a year later, when the promo rate ends.
How it went
After about 30 minutes of chat, the bill went down. They also sent their auto and home insurance, and it flagged that their contents coverage was about twice the national average, which they planned to raise with their agent.
"After about 30 minutes of chatting my bill is now $45/mo cheaper!"

Worth knowing
- Enter account passwords yourself and watch the chat. Have the provider confirm the new total and contract terms in writing before agreeing. Talk insurance changes through with your agent.
- Price check: Grok: free plan; Plus (The X Subscription): US$8/month, or US$6.67/month on a yearly plan (US$80/year) (checked Oct 28, 2026).
Try it yourself
Paste this into a chatbot, then add your own details underneath.
Here are my phone and internet bills. Find ways to lower the monthly total without losing features: list add-ons I may not use, price increases since I signed up, and current plans from this provider or competitors with the same speed and data. For each idea, give the expected new price and what to ask customer service.
More people who did this
- George Broussard (@georgebsocial) (X, Oct 19, 2026): On the free plan, gave Grok Bot a redacted PDF of the bill instead of a Gmail connection, set ground rules (no human, lowest price, same speed, no new equipment), and let it chat with the provider's support bot for about 30 minutes. It took a month-to-month deal with no lock-in and offered to write talking points for a follow-up call with a person.
