TL;DR
What did Dave Scarangella (@DaveScarangella) use Grok Bot for?
On his first night with Grok Bot, a user had it find sites showing his phone numbers and address, fill out each site's opt-out form, and confirm the listings were gone, stepping in only once to prove he was human. He says the only time he was involved was the one human check; Grok Bot handled the other requests and confirmations on its own.
What they did
Someone suggested a few things to tell an assistant to do to get personal details taken off the sites that publish them. He asked Grok how to do it, and it offered to set it up in Grok Bot and showed him how to use it. Grok Bot then went to about 20 sites that listed his phone numbers and address, requested each opt-out form, filled it out, sent it back and checked that the listing was gone. When one site asked for proof that a human was on the other end, Grok Bot handed the screen to him, he confirmed, and it finished the rest.
How it went

Worth knowing
- This was one run on one night. Opt-outs often need repeating, because these sites can relist your details later, and some sites ask you to confirm by email or prove you are a person, which you have to do yourself.
- Price check: Grok: free plan; Plus (The X Subscription): US$8/month, or US$6.67/month on a yearly plan (US$80/year) (checked Oct 28, 2026).
Try it yourself
Paste this into a chatbot, then add your own details underneath.
Find the people-search and data broker sites that show my name, phone number or home address. For each one, request its opt-out or removal, fill in only the details the form needs, and keep a list of every site, what you submitted and whether the listing is gone. Stop and hand the screen to me if a site asks me to prove I'm human.
More people who did this
- Arash (@MinimalDuck) (X, Oct 15, 2026): Tired of spam calls, he had Grok Bot find his number listed on sites and file the removals, then shared it as a free skill.
