TL;DR

What did Scotty Luu use Claude Code for?

A creator built a Claude Code pipeline that imports the SD card, sorts talking-head footage from B-roll, and after a manual color pass uploads and schedules the episode to YouTube and RSS.com. The first run uploaded five backlogged episodes. They describe the podcast and Shorts flows as basically done.

What they did

After recording, inserting the SD card triggers an automatic import prompt. A sorter they built with Claude Code separates talking-to-camera clips from B-roll. They still review and adjust the B-roll color by hand, since the automatic adjustment was fine only about 50 to 60 percent of the time. Exporting into a set folder then starts the upload to YouTube and the RSS.com podcast host, including title, description, and scheduling.

How it went

The first run uploaded five backlogged episodes. They describe the podcast and Shorts flows as basically done.

Worth knowing

  • Auto-generated titles started out bad, so they made titles manual again while refining them. They keep their main channel mostly manual, and are holding off on automating thumbnails and graphics until they have a style of their own to copy.
  • Price check: Claude: free plan; Pro: US$20/month, or US$17/month on a yearly plan (US$200/year) (checked Nov 1, 2026); RSS.com: free plan; Plus: US$19.99/month, or US$15/month on a yearly plan (US$180/year) (checked Oct 26, 2026).
