Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams

TL;DR
What did @exceldictionary use Microsoft Copilot for?
Instead of scrolling back through emails and Teams messages to remember what they'd agreed to do, a user has Copilot read both every morning, pull out the tasks, rank them and add them to one Excel file. They no longer start the day scrolling back through email and Teams to remember commitments.
What they did
They gave Copilot access to their inbox and Teams chats. Every morning it reads both, pulls out the actual tasks, ranks them by priority and writes them into one Excel file. It only adds new rows, so status updates they've already made stay in place.
How it went
They no longer start the day scrolling back through email and Teams to remember commitments.
Worth knowing
- Needs a Microsoft 365 setup where Copilot can read your mail and chats and run on a schedule. Check the list for missed or misread tasks, especially early on.
- Price check: Microsoft Copilot: free plan; Microsoft 365 Personal: US$9.99/month, or US$8.33/month on a yearly plan (US$99.99/year) (checked Oct 30, 2026).
Try it yourself

Read my email and Teams chats from the last 24 hours. Find anything I agreed to do or was asked to do. Add each new task as a row in my Excel to-do file with: task, who asked, due date if stated, priority (high/medium/low) and a link to the message. Don't change existing rows.
