THEIR CLAIM

Days of work

TL;DR

What did @JonBbC_TechGeek use Grok Bot for?

To teach a beginner Japanese class without copying pages from the textbook, a teacher asked Grok Bot to create new material covering the same grammar and vocabulary: worksheets, a Halloween bonus sheet, alphabet practice, a quiz and a PowerPoint. Two native Japanese speakers reviewed the material and found zero issues, they say.

What they did

They couldn't copy pages from the "Minna no Nihongo" textbook because of copyright, so they asked Grok Bot to write completely new material using the same facts, grammar and vocabulary: a 2-3 page worksheet, a Halloween bonus sheet, alphabet practice sheets, a quiz and a PowerPoint. It asked a few setup questions and offered two style formats first. They asked it to cross-check the work with two other bots and to send everything as one zip file.

How it went

Two native Japanese speakers reviewed the material and found zero issues, they say.

"It saved me days of work."

Worth knowing

  • Have a fluent speaker check language material before class, as this teacher did. Write new material rather than reproducing textbook pages.
  • Price check: Grok: free plan; Plus (The X Subscription): US$8/month, or US$6.67/month on a yearly plan (US$80/year) (checked Oct 28, 2026).

Try it yourself

Paste this into a chatbot, then add your own details underneath.

I'm teaching a beginner [language] class based on [textbook], chapter [X]. Don't copy the book. Write new material that uses the same grammar points and vocabulary: a 2-page worksheet, alphabet practice sheets, a 10-question quiz with an answer key, and a short slide deck. Ask me about class level and style before you start, then send all files together.
