TL;DR

What did u/Fine_Doubt_4507 use NotebookLM for?

With 48 hours before a final, a former NotebookLM skeptic uploaded 4 textbooks, 3 sets of lecture notes and 12 articles, asked for the 20 most likely exam questions with full answers, and passed with their best grade of the semester.

What they did

They added their course textbooks, lecture notes and research articles as sources in one notebook, then asked NotebookLM for the 20 most likely exam questions based on those materials, with complete answers.

How it went

NotebookLM returned 23 questions with answers, and they passed the final with the highest grade of their semester.

Worth knowing

  • A commenter did the same and none of the predicted questions came up, so treat the list as practice, not a forecast. Textbooks need to be in a file format you can upload, such as PDF. NotebookLM is now called Gemini Notebook.

Try it yourself

Based only on these sources, what are the 20 most likely exam questions for [course name]? For each one, give a complete answer with a citation to the source, then mark which topics come up most often so I know what to review first.
