First drafts went from about 2 hours to 35 minutes.
TL;DR
What did u/Zunab_Tariq use Unnamed AI writing tool for?
A weekly newsletter writer with about 700 subscribers had AI draft sections of three issues from their past issues and outlines. First drafts went from about 2 hours to 35 minutes and open rates stayed flat, but replies fell and one reader said they sounded tired. Time to first draft dropped from about 2 hours to 35 minutes. Open rates were 44%, 46% and 43%, basically unchanged from their usual 45%. Replies on two of the three issues fell from the usual 5 to 8 down to 2 or 3, and one subscriber emailed to say they sounded tired this month. Their takeaway: the AI made them sound like themselves with the edges sanded off.
What they did
For three issues of a weekly newsletter they had always written themselves, they gave an AI their previous issues and their outline and had it draft sections in their style.

Worth knowing
- Fewer replies can matter more than steady opens. Commenters suggested writing the messy take first and letting AI only trim, or having the AI interview you with blunt questions per section so the opinions come from your own answers.

Here is my outline for this week's newsletter: [outline]. Don't write anything. For each section, ask me two or three blunt questions, such as what I actually think or what bugged me about it. I'll answer fast and messy, and then you'll tidy my answers into a draft without adding opinions of your own.
