TL;DR

What did L.J. Millfield use ChatGPT for?

A maker of handbags and accessories turned a phone photo of their scrunchie into a styled product image with free ChatGPT, using a five-part prompt and a workaround for a distorted logo. The detailed prompt gave "a much better, professional-looking image" than "make this picture look professional." They say it hit the brief, and they kept the extra flowers and ring it added.

What they did

They uploaded a phone photo of their own pink satin scrunchie and said what the image was for, described the product and style, set the background and props, named the target audience and asked for a square image. When the logo on the label came out distorted, they asked for a blank label and added the logo back in Canva.

How it went

The detailed prompt gave "a much better, professional-looking image" than "make this picture look professional." They say it hit the brief, and they kept the extra flowers and ring it added.

Worth knowing

  • On the free plan they got about two to three images a day, so fixes ran over several days. The mirror reflection was wrong, and ChatGPT couldn't redraw their handwritten logo.
  • Price check: ChatGPT: free plan; Go: US$8/month (checked Nov 1, 2026); Canva: free plan; Canva Pro: US$18/month, or US$12/month on a yearly plan (US$144/year) (checked Oct 26, 2026).
