TL;DR
What did u/Reasonable-Guess-878 use Gamma for?
After a full quarter of real client work in Gamma, a professional deck builder settled on Gamma for quick internal drafts and PowerPoint for anything a client sees or edits. They found first drafts fast and say non-designers on their team reached "acceptable" quicker than in PowerPoint. Their split: an AI tool for throwaway internal drafts, PowerPoint for anything sent, presented or edited by the client.
What they did
They build client decks for a living and used Gamma for a quarter of real work before deciding where it fits.
How it went

Worth knowing
- Gamma's card format isn't standard slides. PPTX exports came back with charts flattened to images and multi-column layouts shifted, and exact brand spacing and colors were faster by hand.
- Price check: Gamma: free plan; Plus: US$12/month, or US$9/month on a yearly plan (US$108/year) (checked Oct 25, 2026).

Turn these notes into a 6-slide internal update draft: [notes]. One idea per slide, a title that states the point, and no more than three bullets each. I'll rebuild the final version in our PowerPoint template.
