Hours of inbox time
TL;DR
What did Brendan Gillen use Claude Cowork for?
An ecommerce coach's own Shopify store runs a Claude Cowork scheduled task at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. that reads support emails, checks the Shopify order and drafts a reply in Gmail for a person to send. They say "all we need to do is approve and click send," that it "understands threads," and that it "has saved us hours and hours of like checking our inbox every day."
What they did
In Claude's desktop app they connected Gmail and Shopify and set a scheduled "customer service email triage" task. It runs at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. every day, pulls in the customer service emails, checks the Shopify orders and drafts a response in Gmail.
How it went
They say "all we need to do is approve and click send," that it "understands threads," and that it "has saved us hours and hours of like checking our inbox every day."
"that has saved us hours and hours of like checking our inbox every day"

Worth knowing
- It drafts replies only, so a person still reviews and sends each one. It needs the Claude desktop app, not the web browser.
- Price check: Claude: free plan; Pro: US$20/month, or US$17/month on a yearly plan (US$200/year) (checked Nov 1, 2026); Shopify: no free plan; Basic: US$39/month, or US$29/month on a yearly plan (US$348/year) (checked Oct 28, 2026).

Read the unanswered emails in my support inbox. For each one, look up the customer's order in Shopify, sort it as shipping, return, damaged item or product question, and draft a short, friendly reply in Gmail that uses the real order details. Don't send anything; list any email you couldn't match to an order.
