Someone with no web development background uses Claude Code to design websites for local restaurants, med spas and nonprofits, and has sold six. Six websites sold so far, mainly to restaurants, med spas and nonprofits, with more projects lined up. They say every client has been pleased.
What they did
They spent about a month setting up workflows, including research and design steps, so Claude Code could build sites consistently. It started with their own Shopify store, then a friend's restaurant site redesign, and grew into client work.

Worth knowing
- Each site still takes them 10 to 40 hours, after a month of setup. In the same thread a web designer said they spent 8 to 10 hours on a Claude Code design they weren't happy with, then built the pages in Elementor in half the time.
- Price check: Claude: free plan; Pro: US$20/month, or US$17/month on a yearly plan (US$200/year) (checked Nov 1, 2026).
