What changed
Dify’s 1.17.1 notes describe binding knowledge-base API keys to selected datasets, while existing unbound keys retain workspace-wide behavior. The release also documents keyboard movement on the workflow canvas. Its upgrade notes warn that deployments using the bundled Weaviate require a staged migration.
Why it matters
An integration that only needs one knowledge base may be able to use narrower access. Review existing key scopes and follow the full provider migration instructions before upgrading affected self-hosted installations. We have not reproduced the upgrade or tested the new access controls.

Read the original release notes and your version’s upgrade instructions. Test changes in a separate environment and keep a recovery path. This report does not verify every change in the release.
